Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Research Articles

Research Articles / Artikel Penelitian

English Version

This section publishes original research articles in the field of air defense strategy, aerospace studies, and national security. Manuscripts must be between 4,000–6,000 words (excluding references), and include a structured abstract of 150–250 words in both English and Indonesian. The main text should follow the IMLRaD format: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, followed by a Conclusion and References. Authors are required to use the journal’s prescribed citation style. All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure academic quality and originality.

Bahasa Indonesia

Bagian ini memuat artikel hasil penelitian asli di bidang strategi pertahanan udara, studi kedirgantaraan, dan keamanan nasional. Naskah harus berjumlah 4.000–6.000 kata (tidak termasuk daftar pustaka), serta dilengkapi dengan abstrak terstruktur 150–250 kata dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Teks utama ditulis dengan format IMLRaD: Pendahuluan, Tinjauan Pustaka, Metodologi, Hasil dan Pembahasan, diakhiri dengan Kesimpulan dan Daftar Pustaka. Penulis wajib mengikuti gaya sitasi yang ditentukan jurnal ini. Seluruh naskah akan melalui proses double-blind peer review untuk menjamin kualitas akademik dan orisinalitas.

Struktur Minimal Research Article

  1. Abstrak (ID & EN) – 150–250 kata, mencakup tujuan, metode, hasil utama, dan kontribusi.

  2. Pendahuluan / Introduction – konteks, isu, tujuan penelitian, gap penelitian.

  3. Tinjauan Pustaka / Literature Review – teori, konsep, penelitian terdahulu, kerangka analisis.

  4. Metodologi / Methodology – pendekatan, teknik, instrumen, sumber data.

  5. Hasil dan Pembahasan / Results and Discussion – temuan penelitian, analisis, keterkaitan dengan teori.

  6. Kesimpulan / Conclusion – ringkasan hasil, kontribusi, keterbatasan, dan arah penelitian lanjut.

  7. Daftar Pustaka / References – sesuai gaya sitasi jurnal (misalnya APA/Chicago).

Policy Papers

This section publishes policy-oriented papers that analyze strategic issues related to defense, aerospace, and national security. Manuscripts should be written in a clear, structured, and evidence-based manner, highlighting arguments, policy implications, and practical recommendations. Submissions must be between 2,500–4,000 words (excluding references), include an abstract of 150–200 words, and follow the journal’s citation style. All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic rigor and policy relevance.

Bagian ini memuat tulisan kebijakan yang menganalisis isu-isu strategis terkait pertahanan, kedirgantaraan, dan keamanan nasional. Naskah harus ditulis secara jelas, terstruktur, serta berbasis bukti, dengan menekankan argumen, implikasi kebijakan, dan rekomendasi praktis. Panjang naskah adalah 2.500–4.000 kata (tidak termasuk daftar pustaka), dilengkapi abstrak 150–200 kata, serta mengikuti gaya sitasi jurnal. Seluruh naskah akan melalui proses double-blind peer review untuk menjamin ketelitian akademik dan relevansi kebijakan.

Editorial

Editorials / Editorial

English Version

This section publishes short opinion pieces or scholarly commentaries written by the editorial board or invited experts on current issues in defense strategy, aerospace studies, and national security. Editorials should be 800–1,500 words in length, written in a concise and well-structured manner, and may provide perspectives, reflections, or critical notes. Editorials are not subject to peer review, but are reviewed internally by the editorial board for clarity, relevance, and academic tone.

Bagian ini memuat opini singkat atau komentar ilmiah yang ditulis oleh dewan redaksi atau pakar undangan terkait isu-isu aktual dalam strategi pertahanan, studi kedirgantaraan, dan keamanan nasional. Panjang naskah 800–1.500 kata, ditulis secara ringkas, jelas, dan terstruktur, serta dapat memuat perspektif, refleksi, atau catatan kritis. Naskah editorial tidak melalui proses peer review, namun ditinjau secara internal oleh dewan redaksi untuk memastikan kejelasan, relevansi, dan nuansa akademik.

Struktur Minimal Editorial

  1. Judul / Title – singkat, jelas, dan menarik.

  2. Isi Utama / Main Text – opini, komentar, atau refleksi tentang isu terkini.

  3. Kesimpulan singkat / Closing Remarks – catatan akhir atau ajakan reflektif.

  4. Referensi (jika ada) – tidak wajib, tapi dianjurkan bila merujuk literatur.
